Strong Day One A-10 Showing for GW Swimming and Diving

Results

BUFFALO, N.Y. - After night one of the 2005 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by St. Bonaventure at the Flickinger Athletic Center, the George Washington women's team stands in second place while the men sit fourth.

Diver Katura Horton-Perinchief (Sandy's Bermuda / University of Texas) finished first in the one-meter dive (238.85).

The GW women's squad took third place in the 200-yd medley relay (1:47.04) and the 800-yd freestyle relay (7:38.98).

The men's team used a furious comeback effort in the 800-yd freestyle relay to finish third in the event (6:49.84).

Day two of the four-day meet begins Thursday at 10:30 am.
