Gregory E. Myhr is in his first year as head coach for men's rowing at The George Washington University. Myhr is responsible for all aspects of the Colonials men's rowing program. Myhr comes to GW from Georgetown University where he has served as coach for the freshman heavyweight men for the past two seasons. A 1992 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Myhr was team captain and MVP of the Badgers in 1992. He was the assistant men's varsity coach at Wisconsin from 1995-97 and became the freshman men's coach from 1997-2003. While at Madison, Myhr's freshmen fours won the IRA National Championship in `98, `99 and 2000. Wisconsin also was the Ten Eyck champions (overall team points trophy) in `97 and from `99-'00. In 2000, Myhr's freshmen eight won the EARC trophy, the first EARC freshman title in the program's history. Prior to his days as a collegiate rower, Myhr rowed locally for Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, MD, where he was the team captain in 1988. Myhr resides in Washington, DC.
