Mark Bearden is in his sixth year as Strength and Conditioning Coach at GW. His lifting and nutrition programs have resulted in added mass to the Colonials. The players also have seen dramatic improvement in their power production and on-court conditioning under Bearden. Prior to GW, Bearden served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, for seven years.

A 1997 graduate of Oklahoma State, Bearden worked with the Cowboys' football, softball, women's basketball, women's soccer as well as the nationally ranked men's and women's golf programs.

The Mustang, OK, native is a member of the Collegiate Strength Conditioning Coaches of America (CSCCA) and United States Weightlifting (USAW). Bearden, his wife Becca, and daughter Shelby reside in Springfield, VA.
