Abokhair hit .588 (10-for-17) and recorded at least one hit in all five GW baseball games last week as he helped lead the Colonials to a 4-1 mark, including two wins against A-10 opponent Temple over the weekend. Abokhair, who notched at least two hits in four of the games, finished the week with a 1.000 SLG% and an OBP of .650. In a doubleheader sweep over UMES, the senior catcher was 3-for-6 and scored two runs. On Friday, Abokhair hit 2-for-4 with a three-run triple that gave GW their first lead of the game on their way to a 13-2 win over Temple. In the series' rubber-game on Sunday, after he was honored as part of Senior Day, Abokhair went 3-for-4 with his fifth home run of the season to power the Colonials to 12-8 victory over the Owls. He currently leads GW with 28 walks and a .465 OBP and is second with a .350 batting average.
